Khatiwada elected Chair of Parliamentary Hearing Committee

KATHMANDU:- Nepali Congress lawmaker Ramhari Khatiwada has been elected unopposed the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Friday.

It was announced in the Committee meeting chaired by senior member Pashupati Shumsher JB Rana.

Khatiwada was the only candidate applying for the vacant post after the resignation of the previous chairperson, Ishwari Devi Neupane.

Earlier, chief whip of the Nepali Congress, Shyam Kumar Ghimire, had proposed Member of the House of Representatives, Khatiwada, as the Committee Chairperson. His proposal was seconded by chief whip of the CPN UML, Mahesh Kumar Bartaula.

Chairperson Khatiwada is scheduled to take oath of office and secretary on Monday.(RSS)
