Chance of rain in the Himalayan and hilly areas on Monday
KATHMANDU:- According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in some places across the country’s mountainous and hilly regions on Monday.
The Department reports that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of both westerly and monsoon winds. Tomorrow, generally cloudy conditions are expected in the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. Partial cloud cover is likely in the remaining mountainous areas and the hilly regions of the country, while the weather will remain mainly clear in the Terai region.
On that day, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall in a few places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the mountainous areas of Lumbini Province. Light rain and snowfall are also possible in one or two places within the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and the hilly areas of Lumbini Province.
Similarly, the department has stated that the weather will be partly cloudy in the country’s mountainous and hilly regions on Tuesday, while remaining generally clear in the hilly areas. The department forecasts a possibility of light rain and snowfall in one or two places across the mountainous and hilly regions on that day.
