Tragic death of Nepali origin Bijay Pandey in a road accident in Colorado

By NATI BABU BHATTA:- Bijay Pandey, an 18-year-old youth of Nepali origin, has tragically passed away in a road accident in Colorado.

Pandey, who had come to the United States with dreams of building a bright future, lost his life in the accident less than seven months after his arrival. His life’s journey came to an end in the very country where he had hoped to build that promising future.

The family has been devastated by the tragic passing of Bijay Pandey, the eldest son of Ganesh Prasad Pandey and Sangita Pandey from Birgha, Syangja, Nepal. Social worker Nanda Lal Nyaupane stated that among his family members, only his 17-year-old brother is currently here, while his parents are in Nepal.

According to the details received, police stated that Pandey was struck by a Tesla vehicle around 1:30 AM on August 29 while returning to his room from work and died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has issued a confirmation of death for Pandey. The office stated that the cause of death is currently under investigation. The document confirming the death notes that the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office may be contacted for further information.

This tragic news has left not only his family, relatives, and friends but the entire Nepali community shocked and deeply saddened. His mortal remains are currently at the hospital. Preparations for the funeral are underway, pending the arrival of his parents from Nepal, and significant expenses are being incurred for hospital costs and other necessary arrangements.
