Rain-induced disasters disrupt traffic in different districts
KATHMANDU:- Vehicular movement in different districts has been obstructed due to rain-induced disasters, while the administration has suspended traffic at night in some road sections.
According to Nepal Police Headquarters, the roads in Kavre, Sindhupalchowk, Rasuwa, Rukum Paschim, Lamjung, Ilam, Nuwakot and Makawanpur were impacted by the rain-induced disasters.
The Mechi Highway in Ilam Municipality-9 was fully obstructed following a mudslide at Rajduwali. Travellers have been asked to opt for alternative routes in the section.
Likewise, Araniko Highway is fully blocked after the landslides at Kodari and Liping area.
The Pasang Lhyamu road section and Trishuli-Mailung-Syaphrubensi road section are also obstructed due to landslides.
The Nepal Police stated that the Jajarkot-Dolpa road section is completely obstructed after a landslide at Rijegard in Aathbiskot Municipality-6 in Rukum Paschim district.
The Bensisahar-Manag road is completely blocked after a landslide at Rambazaar in Marsyangdhi Rural Municipality-4, Lamjung.
