Actor Aakash wrote about model Karuna: “Five years of togetherness, and a life spent together for eternity.”
KATHMANDU:- Actor Aakash Shrestha often grabs headlines more for his romantic relationships than for his films—a fact that has tended to overshadow his professional work. Over the past decade, he has been linked to several actresses; at one point, he even planned to marry one of them, though that relationship did not last. However, for the last five years, he has been in a relationship with actress and model Karuna Shrestha.
Until a few years ago, Akash used to deny being in a romantic relationship with Karuna; whenever the topic came up in the media, his standard response was, “We are just friends.” However, in recent times, he has begun to acknowledge his romance with her, albeit indirectly. In particular, the messages he posts on social media—especially on Karuna’s birthday—hint at a deep love.
However, on Monday, he openly acknowledged his romantic relationship with Karuna for the first time. Posting two photos with her on Instagram, he mentioned that they have been together for five years. He wrote, “Five years of togetherness, countless beautiful moments left behind, countless happy moments yet to be lived, and a life spent together for eternity.”
According to close sources, Akash and Karuna plan to get married this year. It is reported that their families have already given their approval. Karuna and Akash have also become well-acquainted with each other’s families; in fact, Karuna has frequently been spotted shopping at Kathmandu’s malls with Akash’s mother.
Aakash and Karuna met while working on a music video. Their friendship subsequently blossomed into romance. Over the past five years, they have appeared in dozens of songs together. Prior to working in music videos, Karuna made her film debut with ‘100 Kada 10’, while Aakash has acted in more than a dozen films.
