Greenfield advances to semifinals of intercollegiate basketball tournament

KATHMANDU:- Host Greenfield has advanced to the semi-finals of the Junior Boys’ category at the 13th Greenfield Cup Inter-School Basketball Tournament.

Greenfield defeated Innovative 31–22, with Ajay Magar contributing 10 points to the victory. In the Senior Girls’ category, Radiant reached the semi-finals by beating Kathmandu Valley 43–30, aided by Sejal Roka’s 23-point performance.

In the senior boys’ category, Radiant Public defeated Gyan Niketan (62–45), Sanskriti International School beat Rising Star (57–48), Innovative overcame Kshetragya (53–40), Marvelous defeated Bright Horizon (59–56), Kathmandu Valley beat Kathmandu Xaviers (66–48), Sunshine defeated Shine Model (44–31), Gandaki beat New Zenith (44–32), and Pushpasadan defeated Angel Lord (46–44), thereby securing their spots in the quarterfinals.

Anish Shrestha of Radiant Public scored 11 points, Abhigna Shrestha of Sanskriti scored 27, Kalyan Magar of Innovative scored 20, Roshan Kushwaha of Marvelous scored 19, Jigme Lama of Kathmandu Valley scored 22, Bishal Khadka of Sunshine scored 20, Tapendra Od of Gandaki scored 10, and Matrika Budhathoki of Angel Lord scored 22.
