Thawang landslide update: ten dead, one missing, two injured

KATHMANDU:- The number of deaths in the burial of house and shed by incessant rain-induced landslide at Kotalbara in Thawang Rural Municipality-5, Rolpa, has reached Ten.

Identity of the ten people that went missing in the landslides have been ascertained.

Two persons got injured in the disaster, and they are undergoing treatment at the local health post.

Personnel of the local administration, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force as well as the local people have galvanized efforts in the search operation to locate the missing.

The missing are identified as Jun Kumari Pun Magar, 40, Ashim Pun, 9, Ashok Pun Magar, 6, Dal Bahadur Pun Magar, 75, Ajambar Pun Magar, 80, Bal Bahadur Pun Magar, 78, Lil Bahadur Pun Magar, 72 and Mani Pun Magar, 72.
