Night-Time Traffic Halted on Beni–Jomsom and Beni–Darbang Roads Due to Heavy Rain Forecast

MYAGDI:- Authorities have suspended night-time vehicular movement on the Beni–Jomsom and Beni–Darbang roads as heavy rainfall is forecast in the area.

The District Security Committee has enforced the restriction from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM on Sunday and Monday nights as a precautionary measure to safeguard travellers.

The Beni–Jomsom road, a key section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, serves as an important route connecting Muktinath and the Korala border point. The Beni–Darbang road, which links western Myagdi with the district headquarters, has also been closed during the same hours.

Chief District Officer Ravindra Acharya said the temporary suspension was imposed to minimise the risk of weather-related accidents and ensure public safety amid forecasts of intense rainfall.
