SAFF Championship football draw announced; Nepal not included

KATHMANDU:- The draw for the SAFF Championship football tournament, scheduled to be held in Bangladesh this coming November, has been announced.

The South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) released the draw for the championship featuring six teams, excluding Nepal. Nepal has been excluded from the SAFF tournament because the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) is currently under suspension by the world football governing body, FIFA.

The teams participating in the championship, which runs until November 17, have been divided into two groups. Group ‘A’ comprises hosts Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan, while Group ‘B’ consists of defending champions India, Pakistan, and the Maldives.
