Nepali Congress Deuba faction forms national gathering organizing committee

KATHMANDU:- The Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress has formed a 551-member organizing committee for the national gathering under the leadership of Shashank Koirala.

The Deuba faction announced the formation of the national gathering organizing committee, led by Dr. Shashank Koirala, during a press conference held on Saturday at their liaison office in Chundevi.

The Deuba faction is holding a gathering in Kathmandu on Shrawan 29. The faction has remained dissatisfied since Gagan Thapa became the Congress President following a special general convention.

Coordinator Koirala stated that President Thapa does not appear keen on party unity, leading them to the point of holding a national gathering.
