Peace Rally held in Janakpurdham
KATHMANDU:- A social harmony rally has been taken out in Janakpurdham today.
Jointly organized by the Janakpurdham Sub-metropolitan City and the Dhanusha district administration office, the rally started from Railway station and went through Janak Chowk, Janaki Temple, and then converted into an assembly at Janak Chowk.
Janakpurdham Sub-metropolis chief Manoj Kumar Sah, Dhanusha CDO Prem Prasad Luitel, members of parliament such as Manish Jha, Matrika Yadav, Bishwaraj Pokhrel, Yagya Mani Neupane, civil leaders of both the Hindu and Muslim community, human rights activists, civil society leaders participated in the rally.
CDO Luitel said that the rally was taken out for maintaining peace, social unity and mutual goodwill.
Speaking at the rally conclusion programme, lawmaker from the ruling Rastriya Swatantra party (RSP) Manish Jha said preparations were made for dialogue and that situation of Janakpurdham will be brought to normalcy very soon.
