Banking fraudster arrested from Dillibazaar

KATHMANDU:- A fugitive in a banking offence has been arrested.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested Shankar Lal Agrawal, a permanent resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4, from Dillibazaar, Kathmandu, today.

Agrawal had been absconding since the date of the verdict in the case under the Banking Crimes and Punishment Act, 2064, in which another fraudster and middleman, Deepak Bhatta, was also a defendant.

He has been produced before the Patan High Court for necessary legal action, shared the Bureau’s spokesperson and Senior Superintendent of Police, Anupam Shamsher Jb Rana.
