Sonakshi Sinha questions government’s silence on Wangchuk’s hunger strike

In a video message posted on her Instagram page, the *Dahaad* actress said she could not remain silent at a time when others have decided not to speak up about Sonam Wangchuk's hunger strike.

MUMBAI:- Actress Sonakshi Sinha questioned the government’s silence regarding Sonam Wangchuk’s hunger strike on Thursday.

Activist Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for the past 19 days. Sinha asked why the government has not yet initiated dialogue with Wangchuk, who is struggling for the future of the country’s children.

Wangchuk began his hunger strike after participating in a protest organized by the ‘Cockroach Janata Party’ (CJP), which demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET exam held on June 28.
