KATHMANDU:- The Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecast heavy rainfall in parts of Koshi Province today as monsoon activity continues to expand across the country.

According to the Division, monsoon winds are currently influencing all areas of Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces, as well as parts of Gandaki and eastern Lumbini. The remaining areas of Gandaki and Lumbini, along with Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces, are expected to come under the influence of the monsoon in the coming days.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at a few places in the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi Province, while isolated heavy rain is also possible in Madhesh Province.

Stormy conditions are also likely in parts of the Terai of Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Moderate rainfall and snowfall are expected in some high Himalayan areas, including parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.
