KATHMANDU:- Currently, there is monsoon influence in some parts of Koshi Province of Nepal. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Weather Forecasting Division, local winds and easterly winds are partially influencing other parts.
According to the department, there are generally cloudy skies in Koshi Province and the mountainous and hilly areas of the rest of the province. It is mainly clear in other Terai areas. Light rain is occurring in a few places in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
This afternoon, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of the country as well as in the Terai areas of Koshi Province. It will be partly cloudy in Madhes Province. The weather will be mainly clear in other Terai areas.
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning at some places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi Province, a few places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and one or two places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces.
There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall with thunder/lightning at some places in the Terai region of Koshi Province and at one or two places in Madhesh Province.
There is a possibility of heat wave at some places in the Terai region of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces and hot days at some places in the Terai region of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
Tonight, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces as well as in the Terai areas of Koshi province.
The weather will be partly cloudy in Madhes province and other mountainous and hilly areas and mainly clear in other Terai areas. There is a possibility of moderate to heavy rain/snowfall with thunder/lightning at some places in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces and at one or two places in the mountainous areas of Lumbini and Karnali provinces.
