ICC Women’s T20 Challenge: Nepal defeats Rwanda by 2 wickets

KATHMANDU:- Nepal defeated Rwanda by 2 wickets in the ICC Women’s Twenty 20 Challenge Trophy.

In the match played today at the Gahanga Cricket Oval in Kigali, Rwanda, Nepal achieved the victory target of 89 runs set by the hosts in 19.4 overs, losing 8 wickets.

Samjhana Khadka top-scored with 48 runs for Nepal while Pooja Mahatto added 13 and Bindu Rawal added 10 runs.

Earlier, Rwanda, who won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 88 runs in 19.4 overs, all out.

For the bowling side, Rachana Chaudhary took 3 wickets while Pooja Mahato and Kavita Kunwar took two wickets each.

The tournament hosted by the International Cricket Council is being held on a double round-robin league system. Italy, the USA and Vanuatu are other teams participating in the competition.
