Election Commission to start collecting, updating voters’ list from April 5

KATHMANDU:- The Election Commission is to begin registration and updating of the voters’ list from April 5.

The EC had postponed it from November 22, 2025, after the announcement of the date for the election to the House of Representatives, 2082.

Joint-Secretary and Spokesperson of the EC, Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, shared that an arrangement has been made where national identity card holder Nepali citizens can register their names online to the voters’ list.

Similarly, in the case of Nepali citizens who have not obtained a national ID, they are required to appear at the province or district election office for biometric details after filling out the EC’s online form in order to register their names in the voter list.

Likewise, activities like correcting mistakes in the voter list, updating the details of death and migration, and removing names registered twice in the voter list could be done online, reads a press release issued today by EC. RSS
