Butwal-Narayangadh road obstructed after rains

NAWALPARASI:- Vehicular movement along the Butwal-Narayangadh section has come to a halt after the road turned slippery due to rains.

The Daunne section at Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality–2 in Nawalparasi (Bardghat-Susta East) has turned muddy and slippery, disrupting traffic, according to the District Police Office, Nawalparasi.

Rainfall since Friday afternoon has made the road surface murky and hazardous. Even during light rain, vehicles face difficulty passing through the elevated parts of this section.

The Narayangadh–Butwal Road Project stated that efforts are underway to restore smooth traffic flow. However, even light rainfall continues to pose challenge for vehicular movement in this area.

Meanwhile, the Project has imposed a ban on the movement of large container vehicles along the highway from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, effective from March 22. The decision aims to reduce potential risks for vehicles during nighttime hours.
