Patan High Court summons both sides for discussion on March 13 regarding NRNA election process

KATHMANDU:- The Patan High Court has ordered both parties to be summoned for discussion on March 13 in a hearing on a writ petition filed by the association’s UK president Prem Gaha Magar, demanding a halt to the 12th general convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) and the online voting process being used in it.
In the hearing held on Wednesday in a single bench of judges of the Patan High Court, it was deemed appropriate to reach a decision on whether or not to issue an interim order after hearing both sides, and therefore the date has been set for discussion on March 13, 2026.
The 12th general convention of the Non-Resident Nepali Association has become uncertain due to the fact that the association’s UK president Prem Gaha Magar has called for a discussion on March 13 on whether to issue an interim order in the hearing of the writ petition filed in the Patan High Court to stop the elections of the Non-Resident Nepali Association.
