‘Entire security preparations for polls over’

KATHMANDU:- A meeting of the Central Security Committee was held today under the chair of Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal.

The meeting concluded entire preparations for the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) scheduled for Thursday were completed.

During the meeting, chiefs of all the security bodies briefed about the security preparations for the polls.

According to Home Ministry’s Joint Secretary and Chief of Security and Coordination Division Ananda Kafle, the security bodies briefed about the security preparations for the polls.

Needed logistic materials were supplied to all security units and the security bodies have been mobilized as per the planning, it is said.

Kafle shared entire managements were carried out as per the Integrated Election Security Planning 2082 BS.

The meeting also decided to carry out security patrolling from helicopters and take action if any illegal activities were reported.

Home Secretary Rajkumar Shrestha, Defence Secretary Kedarnath Sharma, chiefs of all three security bodies and top level officials of the Home Ministry were present at the meeting.
