Saraswati Puja and cultural program held in Colorado

COLORADO:- The Nepali-speaking Bhutanese community in Colorado, which is active in efforts to preserve the Nepali language and culture, has organized a Saraswati Puja and cultural program today on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

The event, jointly organized by the Colorado-based Nepali Class and the Colorado Bhajan Group at the Mango House in Aurora, attracted enthusiastic participation from locals.

The main attraction of the program was the dance performance by students of the Nepali class along with Saraswati Puja. The traditional Nepali dance performed by the students enthralled the audience. In addition, various guests at the event spoke about the importance of the Nepali language, culture, and community.

The program was presided over by Dharani Dhakal. Saha Subba, President of Kirat Cultural Community Colorado, was present as the chief guest. GBCC Secretary Mani Khaling Rai, local leaders Dar Khatiwada, Birkha Gurung and others expressed their views at the event. They emphasized the need for unity of the Nepali community and cultural preservation.

According to the organizers, this program will play an important role in promoting the Nepali language and culture in the United States. Participants in the program said that organizing such a program will send a good message to the community.
