It will be the first time the political parties and Gen Z are meeting following the September 8-9 protest that toppled then government, caused dissolution of the HoR and installation of the present interim government.

According to Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Jagdish Kharel, the meeting is scheduled for 4:00pm at Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar on Wednesday. He shared that government was engrossed on preparing for the March 5 election and holding rigorous discussions with various sides, including the political parties and Gen Z youths.

A week back, the government had discussed with seven political parties. The political parties were positive towards election in the meeting called by Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

However, they had concern over the security situation for the democratic exercise. The formal political conversation the government held is expected to create atmosphere conducive to the parliament election.
