Nepali Army rescues 12 stranded, search ongoing for four missing in Rasuwa

KATHMANDU:- A rescue team of the Nepali Army (NA) has rescued 12 individuals stranded due to incessant rainfall at the dam site in Gosaikund Rural Municipality-5 of Rasuwa district.

16 individuals that included locals and workers had reached the dam site area when incessant rains started on October 3.

According to the NA, a team from Shreenath battalion rescued 12 of the stranded and brought them to Syafrubesi, a safe place.

The search for the four missing is going on, with team of NA, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force conducting search operations at five different locations including dam site and Bhange waterfall.

However, the search teams have faced difficulties due to ongoing rainfall and tough topography.
