US Ambassador Thompson calls on Minister Ghising

KATHMANDU:- Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R Thompson, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Physical Infrastructure and Transport and Urban development Kulman Ghising today at the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation in Singh Durbar.

On the occasion, US Ambassador Thompson congratulated Minister Ghising and wished him a successful tenure.

During the meeting, discussion revolved around Nepal-US cooperation, implementation status of US funded projects, reconstruction of infrastructure damaged during the recent Gen Z protest, according to Minister Ghising’s secretariat.

On his part, Minister Ghising stated that the government was focused on rebuilding of infrastructures damaged during the Gen Z protest, hold general election and maintain good governance as priorities.

In response, Ambassador Thompson mentioned that the US would continue its support to Nepal.
