Death toll in Sunsari road accident reaches four, identity of three ascertained

SUNSARI:- The death toll in Sunsari road accident has reached four.

The identity of three of the deceased has been ascertained. The deceased are Shankar Mandal, 35, of Mahadewa rural municipality in Saptari, Laxman Sada, 70, of Koshi rural municipality-6 and Ashok Yadav, 40, of Biratnagar-10 in Morang, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Sunsari, Yograj Khatiwada.

The identity of a woman of around 45-50 years has not been confirmed yet, he added.

The accident happened at Bokraha Narsingh rural municipality-3 in Sunsari district after a bus (Me 1 Kha 1799) heading to Diktel from Kakadbhitta in Jhapa district and a micro bus (Province 2-01-001 Ja 0047) coming from the opposite direction collided with each other this morning.

The injured are undergoing treatment at Global Cardio and Neuro Hospital, Bhokraha as well as Golden Hospital, Biratnagar. Police have taken bus driver Gopal Adhikari of Arjundhara Municipality-1 from Jhapa under control for necessary action.
