Blocked BP Highway resumed

BANEPA:- The BP Highway, which was blocked due to piling debris caused by the rainfall, has resumed.

The highway was completely blocked on Sunday evening due to the flooding on the Khahare River in Pinthali, Roshi Rural Municipality-9 of Kavrepalanchok district, along with the rain.

The road was completely blocked at around 10:35 PM on Sunday due to the flash flood that occurred in the Mamti River located in Rosi Rural Municipality-11 along the highway, along with the rain.

The BP Highway in Pinthali, which was closed since 6:30 pm on Sunday, has been fully resumed since 5:55 AM on Monday, according to the District Highways Office, Kavrepalanchok.

Police said that the road, which was blocked due to the flash flood in the Khahare River in Mamti, has been fully reopened since 6 am on Monday.।

The 29-kilometer road from Katunje to Boksi Kuna on the Sindhuli border on the BP Highway has been completely damaged due to the floods that occurred last September.

The highway, which was damaged due to floods, gets blocked repeatedly with the onset of rainfall.

The Road Division, Bhaktapur, has stated that 21 pieces of equipment have been placed on the highway to prevent the highway from being blocked during the rainy season.
