Domestic airlines agree to reduce air fare

KATHMANDU:- Domestic airlines companies have agreed to sell and distribute tickets at a lower price than the approved fare at the direction of Prime Minister Balendra Shah and initiation of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Khadak Raj Paudel.

Prime Minister Shah had enquired about the matter after complaints that airlines companies increased the air fare, taking advantage of the festival season.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal on Thursday held a meeting with office bearers and representatives of domestic airlines companies, resulting in domestic companies’ agreement to sell and distribute air tickets at a lower price, according to the CAAN.

CAAN director general Mukesh Dangol mentioned that the companies would issue notices on the revised price for air tickets. RSS
