HoR Polls: preliminary results from various constituencies, RSP leads in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU:- The vote counting for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections 2026 is underway in various electoral constituencies in Kathmandu.

The Election Commission has shared the preliminary details from different areas in Kathmandu.

The details from Kathmandu-10 suggest that Pradeep Bista of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has received 2,551 votes, followed by Himal Karki of the Nepali Congress with 545 votes, and Binod Shrestha of the CPN (UML) with 286 votes.

Likewise, Balaram Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has obtained 204 votes, while Rakesh Neupane of the Ujjyalo Nepal Party has received 78 votes. Rupa Maharjan of the Nepali Communist Party has obtained 54 votes.

Similarly, the preliminary counts from Kathmandu-8 show that Biraj Bhakta Shrestha of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading with 3,290 votes, while Sapana Rajbhandari of the Nepali Congress has received 349 votes.

Suman Sayami of the Nepali Communist Party has secured 348 votes, followed by Nabin Shahi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 236 votes. CPN (UML)’s Rajesh Shakya has obtained 231 votes.

In Kathmandu-7, Ganesh Parajuli of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is leading with 1,481 votes, while Prakash Shrestha of the CPN (UML) has received 308 votes. Pramodhari Guragain of the Nepali Congress has received 282 votes, followed by Basant Prasad Manandhar of the Nepali Communist Party with 208 votes.

Similarly, in Kathmandu-1, Ranju Neupane of the Rastriya Swatantra Party is ahead with 3,129 votes, followed by Prabal Thapa Shrestha of the Nepali Congress with 1,695 votes, and Rabindra Mishra of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 882 votes. Mohanraj Regmi of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has received 272 votes.

In Kathmandu-2, Sunil KC of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured 424 votes, while Maniram Phuyal of the CPN (UML) has received 236 votes, followed by Kabir Sharma of the Nepali Congress with 194 votes.

The preliminary results from Kathmandu-3 show that Kulman Ghising of the Ujjyalo Nepal Party has received 1,846 votes, while Rajunath Pandey of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has secured 1,560 votes, followed by Ramesh Aryal of the Nepali Congress with 583 votes. Rameshwar Phuyal of the CPN (UML) has obtained 456 votes.

According to the data provided by the Election Commission until 4:30 am today, in Kathmandu-4, Pukar Bam of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has received 865 votes, while Rajan Bhattrai of the CPN (UML) has secured 274 votes, followed by Sachin Timilsina of the Nepali Congress with 213 votes. Jhanka Bahadur Adhikari of the Ujjyalo Nepal Party has received 100 votes.

Likewise, in Kathmandu-5, Sasmit Pokharel of the Rastriya Swatantra Party has obtained 1,424 votes, followed by Pradip Paudel of the Nepali Congress with 412 votes. Ishwor Pokharel of the CPN (UML) has obtained 285 votes, while Kamal Thapa of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has received 55 votes. RSS
