KATHMANDU:- With 38 days remaining for the House of Representatives elections, the Election Commission (EC) has established a Joint Election Operation Centre to promptly address any issues arising during the voting process.

The Centre, located at the EC premises in Kathmandu, was inaugurated on Sunday by Officiating Chief Election Commissioner Ram Prasad Bhandari. Speaking at the event, Bhandari said the Centre will take immediate action to resolve problems in constituencies that cannot be addressed at the local voting centres.

The Centre will be led by the EC Secretary and include a Joint Secretary from the Home Ministry along with representatives from security agencies. It will collect information, conduct analysis, and make rapid decisions to ensure the smooth conduct of the election process.
