NPL:Rossington’s half century secures Pokhara’s victory by eight wickets

KATHMANDU:- Pokhara Avengers has defeated Chitwan Rhinos by eight wickets in the second match played under the ongoing second edition of Nepal Premier League (NPL).

It was Adam Rossington’s half century that helped Pokhara Avengers secure the victory on Saturday. In the match played at Kirtipur-based TU International Cricket Ground, Pokhara met the victory target of 121 in 19.4 overs at a loss of two wickets.

Rossington alone made 65 runs in 48 balls where he had five sixes and four fours. Arjun Kumal, who made debut in the match, contributed unbeaten 43 runs in 53 balls. His runs had one six and two fours.

Earlier, Chitwan Rhinos had made only 120 runs in 20 overs at the loss of six wickets. It was Dev Khanal making highest runs of 35 and Alpesh Ramjani unbeaten 33 runs.

Dhananjay Lakshan had taken three wickets. The final match of the league round will be between Janakpur Bolts and Karnali Yaks at 3:30pm Sunday. RSS
