UML youths attack protestors, Gen Z members injured

DHANGADHI:- Many Gen Z demonstrators have sustained injuries after members of National Youth Association, the youth wing of the CPN (UML), attacked the Gen Z protestors.

The Gen Z demonstrators were protesting against standing committee member of the UML, Mahesh Basnet.

The demonstrators were on the road in front of the Dhanagadhi’s covered hall when they were attacked by the UML’s youths.

According to Shiva Raj Joshi, information officer at the district administration office, some Gen Z members including Gen Z leader Sarita Joshi have been injured.

Nepal police and armed police force personnel were deployed to control the situation when it became tense between UML’s youths and Gen Z members.

Rallying on motorcycles, the UML youths broke through the police circle and attacked the Gen Z demonstrators who were carrying placards.

UML leader Basnet was here to address youth awareness campaign organized by NYA.
